US-based producer Uru Patel has been planning to make a modern version of Hanuman, the powerful and fearless monkey god from Ramayana. Aamir Khan has been approached to play the character of Hanuman, where Hollywood stars Keanu Reeves has been finalized to play Ram and Gary Oldman to play Raavan. Aamir Khan has shown interest in playing the role of Hanuman but will take final decision only after reading the full script.

But in this modern version Hanuman won’t be a god but a superhero with the best action directors and special-effects experts. Earlier Hanuman was to be directed by Luis Mandoki but now zeroed on Chuck Russell, the Eraser fame, will direct this film. After finalizing Aamir’s decision the first schedule of Hanuman is expected to be held in Rajasthan at the end of the year. The rest of the film will be shot at Hollywood studios.

For Sita’s character to play producer wants to rope in an international face. earlier Shilpa shetty was finalized but due some excuse she stepped out of this project.
