SYNOPSIS

Balki’s ‘Paa’ has Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan in a very different kind of a role. Unlike real life, the film portrays Amitabh Bachchan as Abhishek Bachchan’s son. Amitabh Bachchan suffers from Progeria, a rare congenital abnormal characteristics where the person ages rapidly. Amitabh Bachchan is shown to have this rare characteristics in the film. The film is more an emotional father-son relationship with the ailment as the back-drop.

STORY

Auro (Amitabh Bachchan) is an intelligent, witty 13 year old boy with an extremely rare genetic defect that causes accelerated ageing.

He suffers from a progeria like syndrome. Mentally he is 13, very normal, but physically he looks 5 times older. Inspite of his condition, Auro is a very happy boy. he lives with his mother vidya, (Vidya Balan), who is gynaecologist.

Amol Arte(Abhishek Bachchan), is young, progressive and full of ideas, politician. He is out to prove to the world that ‘politics’ is not bad word. He is a man with a mission. Auro is Amol’s son.

Paa is a ‘rare’ story about a father-son son-father relationship.
