What’s Your Raashee? is ultimately a performance-oriented film. A terrific ensemble cast from the world of television and theatre collaborate to its feel-good believability which lasts as long as their screen time. As for the man behind Yogesh, Harman Baweja is sincere in his endeavours but not so fascinating a presence to resist getting overshadowed by his leading lady.

And boy, what a lady! Priyanka Chopra transforms into 12 new skins with astonishing distinction, voice and spirit. The actress reinvents herself into this unique individual every single time ranging from batty, bashful and boisterous. This is simply her show. If only it weren’t three and a half hours long.

WHAT’S YOUR RAASHEE? belongs to Priyanka Chopra. No two opinions on that. Words would fail to do justice to the remarkable portrayal of twelve different characters by this actor. This is her finest work to date. Harman is extremely likable and enacts his part with complete understanding. Darshan Jariwala is alright. Anjan Srivastava is as usual. Visshwa Badola is first-rate. Pratik Dixit does well.

On the whole, WHAT’S YOUR RAASHEE? is a king-sized disappointment.

Priyanka Chopra is expressive in each of her characters in What’s Your Raashee? though some are just too shallow and repetitive. She glides effortlessly into each avatar switching her body language, dialect and performance very smoothly and is beautiful in, both, her appeal and act. Hurman Baweja has a comfortable screen presence and a compelling connect with the viewer. Rajesh Vivek is still in the Lagaan hangover. Darshan Zariwala hams it up every now and then.

The mystery on who will Yogesh marry in the end doesn’t hold much thrill as he himself isn’t certain of his choice. He is confused with most options open till the end. The viewer is exhausted for the exit door is still closed.

What’s Your Raashee? film would have been a little more bearable had it been under three hours but a running time of 3 hours and 30 minutes appears far too much. If you may ask whether to check it out or not well there are only two reasons to watch this astrological blunder made by Ashutosh Gowariker – Priyanka Chopra and Priyanka Chopra.
