As said, Shimit Amin’s film Rocket Singh : Salesman of The Year is an unspectacular one. And it’s quite hard to express just how bloody refreshing that is. Comfortable in its own skin, the film never tries too hard, and while it takes a little while to really get going, it completely eschews glitz and bling — never an easy thing to do, moreso considering the hero’s the hottest property in town since a certain Mr Khan moved to Bombay and stammered obsessively — and does its own thing, nice and easy.
